Winter Forms of Woody Perennials

Documentation of the growth habits / forms of some of the woody perennials at my (PJ’s) forest garden, with a snowy backdrop and a 6-foot “yardstick” to show scale, with notes about planting years. I have dry, sandy soil and a lot of these things didn’t get much care or watering—plus many have been browsed by animals—so, not optimal conditions, but also not unusual for this area, zone 5b. Something I’d been meaning to do for a few years, finally decided to do it before the snow melted. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to plant more things in the ground.
