Fundraiser: Pull the Plug on Palisades

The Palisades is already arguably America’s most risky nuclear power plant, due to its old age, embrittled reactor, poor safety record, sensitive location on Lake Michigan and Entergy’s controversial management. And now, Entergy is requesting regulatory changes that would lower safety standards–including changing the way it calculates embrittlement. A coalition of local and national organizations has mobilized to keep the Palisades–a plant which the NRC admits has the most embrittled reactor in the US, and one that has had three near meltdowns in the last few years–from becoming even less safe.
