Earthbag Permablitz at Krystal’s

May 9, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

We are planning on this Saturday, May 9th to get started on the earthbag garden beds and would love help/company from anyone that is interested!

I’m taking cues from the recent permablitz at PJ’s place in terms of how to structure this and look forward to seeing how it goes and to meeting some of you in person! I only hope that I will be as prepared as I need to be, but I imagine that this group of people is pretty flexible if for some reason we aren’t able to do as much as intended.

Anyway, below is my info. Let me know if you have questions, comments, advice, tools that can be borrowed, etc. Looking forward to it (although right now the forecast is not looking so great)!

Permablitz: 10AM-2PM
3840 Lovers Lane, Kalamazoo MI

Build earthbag garden beds! Offer suggestions and/or advice on other projects that we have started or have in mind for the property 🙂 Bring shovels, rakes, wheel barrows, wire cutters, tampers, yourself and whatever else you think is appropriate for building the beds. (if anyone has an excess amount of barbed wire that you don’t know what to do with, we could use it for the beds if you are willing to part with it!)

We will have snacks and drinks for the day and would love to finish with a potluck also! Potluck 2PM-3:30PM Bring a dish to pass and share Bring a plate, silverware and cup. Come at anytime and stay as long as you want or can. Also, kids are more than welcome! I have a seven year old daughter that would definitely enjoy having some other young people there! Cheers!
